The success that reached the residence program allowed us to design a more consistent proposal of auto-construction of housings on part of the own beneficiaries with the help of a rotative fund of credits in materials of construction that began in Milagro, that has also expanded to the population of Anconcito, in Salinas. This program that takes the name of Stable House, has received additional support, among those that stand out that of the Castile-the Stain’s Community, the City council of Alarcón’s Pozuelo and the City council of Las Rozas, belonging to local governments from Spain. to identify mostly to the Foundation with their social reason, maintaining, of course the patronage of Luis Noboa Naranjo.
In the field of education we have undertaken outstanding projects for the productive development. Between the years 97 to 98 an important donation was made to the Superior Polytechnic School of the Coast (ESPOL) to carry out graduates guided to endow from administrative capacities to agricultural engineers that managed important hectares of agricultural cultivations; the same way, in agreement with the Jefferson University, scholarships have been granted for university studies in a program that it lasted until the year 2006.
In the year 2005, the Foundation and Esquel organized the international symposium "The Social Responsibility in front of the Challenges of the Local Development and the Globalization that summoned to important personalities of the managerial Ibero-American environment, event that took place in Guayaquil, in the living rooms of the Hilton Colón Hotel, where thematic related with the involving of the managerial sector were approached in the strategies of development of our countries, but understanding that the company is a key and decisive actor to create work sources, to enlarge the market and to promote the democratic values.
Meanwhile, the international and national cooperation were diversifying and they subscribed agreements with programs of the Interamerican Bank of Development (IDB) and the Social Well-being’s Ministry, to negotiate the project of early stimulation to children of up to 6 years, the same one that continues with the new organism (FODI) created for the effect. The Foundation already takes near 5 years executing this modality.
In the youth’s area they stand out the Young in Action programs and Youths for the XXI Century, favored by the City council of Madrid that continue sustainable by means of an agreement with the Municipality of Guayaquil, through the Youth's Table. The leadership of the Foundation in the handling of juvenile entrepreneurship positioned us in the Center of Municipal Integral (CAMI) Attention, where stays an office and the juvenile Volunteer is promoted in community actions; also, it allowed that the IDB selects the Foundation so that it executes the project Generation of New Opportunities for Teenagers in Social Risk that is about to begin.
In this diversification strategy a first donation of the Interamerican Foundation was obtained for a project that it visualizes and gift of capacity to the organizations of base of ethnic communities: indigenous and afro-ecuatoreans . The relationship with the FIA increased with a bottom of coastal development, to those that incorporated the Odebrecht Foundation and, from the 2007, the IDB with their line FOMIN whose actions will last three years, that is to say, up to the 2010.
In the entire bustle has gone subscribing agreements with local governments, among those that stand out: the Municipality of Miracle, Salinas, Santa Elena and the Prefecture of Chimborazo. By the same way, the programs receive technical attendance of the Dutch Cooperation, ESPOL, the Coastal Resources Program (PMRC) and the Japanese Cooperation.
It deserves to stand out, in this synopsis, the project that is executed in 10 cantons of Chimborazo’s Province which involves rural schools of the indigenous sector. This is an initiative that breaks paradigms, because a managerial group of Guayaquil worries about other sectors of the homeland, free of prejudices and, rather, attentive to the changes that the country is living.
The alliances with other managerial groups that practice the social responsibility, have gave us very enriching experiences: our projects and programs receive important donations that give an added value to the activities.
In that line it is necessary to mention that, in the health environment, the laboratories Farmayala and Colgate Palmolive carries out permanent donations of medications and dental inputs. The companies that distribute the products Toni and Kellogg's-CELNASA frequently support to the infantile feeding; and the Cuesta-Holguín group, with their contribution of wearing shoes Venus, to an immense conglomerate of all the beneficiaries of our programs.
But in this whole itinerary it should be stood out to two companies of our own Consortium: the Genius Valdéz and Pronobis that contribute annually in decisive form so, that the Foundation can administrate all the programs of social responsibility directed to the communities and for those that are guided toward the interior of the companies, also fulfilling the principle of corporate responsibility.
Don Luis Noboa Naranjo left constituted the “Technicians’ Development Professionals Foundation”; its ideal was to leave a non-lucrative institution that impels the development of the human capital, mainly in the environment of the productive technicians’ development that needs the country. However, he died before he achieve a great financing with own and international resources.
The statutes of this entity served as base to constitute the Luis Noboa Naranjo Foundation that began to act with legal life in the year 2006. Maintaining our boss's initial spirit, the new directory decided to grant an important donation so that the Academic International Center works together with a medical center that assisted the workers of all the companies that conformed the Group Noboa in that time.
It was since 1997 that the Foundation begins to open up to the community through, mainly, donations to non lucrative and charity institutions, and began to the program of houses for very needy people of Milagros’ City. In agreement with Housings Home of Christ, for that was given the first donation of $5,000, that then increased with the contribution of other companies of the group.
El Niño Southern Oscillation razes marginal diverse populations and makes a huge torrent of refugees in housings, especially in the Guayas’ Province, situation that also affected the school establishments. The two events sensitized the Foundation that found a great ally in Spain, the Foundation IUVE, which two important projects were formulated in order to supporting, to those communities affected by the natural disaster. The financing of the Spanish Cooperation Agency was achieved for the program Healthy Schools, and for Valencian Generality, the program Community Health began to be executed since 1998 in the canton Miracle and its influence area.
Then they continued more collaboration with the programs A Kilo of Help and Family Orchards that extended to Santa Elena's peninsula, specifically to the parish of Anconcito, with support of the Foundation Friend’s Hand and the contribution of the Castilla and León’s Community.
